Summer is coming to an end here in Utah. The trees are shedding their summer green in favor of majestic golds and reds, mornings are cool and brisk, and sounds of children playing throughout the neighborhood have quieted as school is in full swing. Fall is upon us and you can almost smell the change in the air.
Every fall has marked the beginning of change for my family: a new school, a new grade, new teachers, new friends, new experiences, maturity, growth. Some changes have been good, some not so much, but, as with every fall, change is the inevitable consequence of enduring time. It is a reminder that nothing can stay the same forever and that newness is wrought through the harshness of winter.
